The Stuart McElrath
Company provides both conceptual plant layout design and
detailed installation drawings and specifications.
Conceptual Layouts: SMC will
come onto the customer’s site for a preliminary review of the
project. A meeting is held with the production and management
where notes and sketches are made on the proposed facility.
After the meeting, the first conceptual drawings are produced.
Another meeting is held at the customer’s facility to review
conceptual drawings. Notes are taken at this meeting and a
second set of conceptual drawings are produced.
Detailed Engineering: Once
the conceptual drawings are approved in principle, the detailed
drawings are started. This set of drawings include, but are not
limited to General Arrangement drawings, Local Area General
Arrangement drawings, Equipment Installation Elevations and
Cross-Sections drawings, Foundation drawings, Structure Steel
drawings and Utility drawings.
As with the Conceptual layouts, the detailed drawings are
submitted to plant personnel for approval at various stages in
the project. |
