The Stuart
McElrath Company (SMC) is a consulting firm which
provides engineering and web solutions for
fabricators, machine shops, foundries and in the
petrochemical industry. A privately held company
located in Flint Texas, SMC was founded in 1994 by
Michael McElrath after 20 years of working for
various companies in an engineering or sales
capacity. SMC diversified in 2004 to include web and
print solutions with emphasis on the manufacturing
Industry and related fields. |

Michael S McElrath is a member of the
American Foundry Society, the Texas Cast
Metals Association, a Senior member of the

Engineers.
Michael S McElrath joined the foundry
industry in February of 1978 as a Corporate
Project Engineer for Kast Metals Corporation
of Shreveport LA. as a Senior Corporate
Project Engineer duties included involvement
with many nobake projects both in
Shreveport, La and Keokuk, IA.

In
1980, Michael S McElrath joined Dependable
Fordath (now Dependable Foundry Equipment
Company/Redford Carver Foundry Products
Company) and held positions of Project
Engineer, Sales Engineer, Manager of Plant
Engineering, Sales Manager, and Manager of
Engineering and Manufacturing. Duties
included equipment sales,
equipment/facilities layouts, product
development and evaluation, field equipment
service, supervision of large turnkey
projects and supervision of the engineering
department including manufacturing.
In 1991, Michael S McElrath joined Harry H.
Kessler & Associates as a Sr. Project
Engineer working on feasibility studies,
cost reduction surveys, plant layouts,
equipment and site selection and detail
engineering. |
